DETAILED CONTENT
The wellsite manual is an important aid and reference for both wellsite and operations geologists and in fact anyone who wishes to gain an understanding of these positions.
As such we wish to make our knowledge available to those who would benefit from it. Better operational skills make better geologists, who are better able to function efficiently under the pressures of modern drilling methods. We have written a wellsite geologist's manual incorporating the experience and knowledge we have acquired spanning 3 decades.

The manual is available by download or presented on CD in pdf format (and can if required be printed from there), and contains more than 260 pages and more than 100 figures as well as forms and templates for use in the various routine tasks that operations and wellsite staff undertake.
There is a table of contents that is hyperlinked to each topic, table and figure, making navigation quick and easy.
The CD contains spreadsheets and programs are included, and demonstration versions of other software products.

The main sections include:
  • Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lithological Description and interpretation
  • Wellsite Geologist's Routine
  • Hydrocarbon Shows and Description
  • Gas Ratio Log Evaluation
  • Coring
  • Geochemcial Sampling
